The Extreme Asset Tracker is a web based inventory management that enables Extreme employees to view and maintain the status of various products.

Overview

We built this web application to enable Extreme Networks employees to track the items in their inventory and retain the complete history of individual items over time.

Being specifically designed for their workflow, this application saves countless hours of work that used to be spent grappling with an expensive and inefficient off-the-shelf system.

Sophisticated search capabilities and item histories provided by the application have greatly improved accountability, and integration with barcode scanning equipment streamlines the entry process.

Features

Management

Both warehouses and rooms within them can easily be created and edited in the application. Each item is tied to a location, and it is easy to find items by location.

The application has a user management interface to add and remove users from the application.

Item Entry and History Tracking

New items are entered into the application quickly and efficiently. Each change to an item is logged so that there is always a trail of when items have changed status or location. It is easy for users to find the entire history of an item on a single page.

Item Search

Users can find items in the inventory quickly. The search functionality enables users to filter by a variety of criteria including the part number, serial number, who added the item to the application, and when the item was added.
